The Royal Oak is a traditional, family run pub, situated close to the center of Tilehurst, near Reading in Berkshire.
The pub has served the local community for more than 200 years and is now run by Sharon Whelan and Keith Wilko, who took over the tenancy.
Offering a warm and friendly welcome, the pair, have quite a reputation having won several awards since moving in. These include: winning the “Reading in Bloom 2013” competition, for their outstanding displays in the Beer Garden, and a place in the “Camra Ale Trail” , in recognition of their fine ales.
So, if you’re looking for a pub which is known for the quality and wide variety of its ales; offers a selection of traditional pub meals, boasts an award winning beer garden, runs several sports teams, music, poker and quiz nights and believes in looking after the locals…….why not pop in and say hello.
