Listed in the Good Beer Guide, The Ape & Apple gives consistently excellent beer and a warm welcoming atmosphere and has a great beer garden - perfect for a summer in Manchester! The pub is also host to the longest running free comedy night in Manchester, which happens every Wednesday and is certainly worth a visit.

The beer that made us famous, our Joseph Holt Bitter. Pours a deep amber with a creamy head encompassing full bitterness with a dry malt base.

Tasting Notes: A full drinking and original cask bitter that is rich in both colour and taste. Pours a clear amber, almost ruby, colour with creamy white head. It has a mild fruity and woody aroma, with berry undertones. Drinks smooth with a woody, malty and slightly peppery taste with a hint of floral hops.
