The Ship Victory

A dog friendly pub with Sky TV in Chester.

Situated just outside the City Walls The Ship Victory Pub was named after Nelson's Flag Ship 'HMS Victory' and is the only pub in Great Britain to be called The Ship Victory.

It was converted during the Napoleonic wars from a Hey Loft to an ALE HOUSE for the benefit of sailors and soldiers from those wars.

An extention was built in 1889 and is now a grade 2 listed building. The first recorded Inn Keeper in Slaters Directory was in 1869 R. George.

We have entertainment at the week ends including Karaoke on a Friday and live bands on a Saturday
night.
Thursday we have a charity quiz night, darts teams on Monday and Tuesday.
what more do you want from a pub? maybe a piano? Yes we have got one too.
The Ship Victory has been awarded "The Most Charitable Pub" in Great Britain having raised over £105,000.
